Booking & pricing
A 7–10 day private tour for two, with 4-star hotels, a guide, driver and private vehicle, typically runs $1,150–$1,800 per person. Luxury villas and internal flights push that higher; low season or a shorter itinerary brings it down. Every quote itemises hotels, transport, guiding and entrance fees.
Yes, usually 12–25%, because there is no platform commission. The bigger difference is that your itinerary is written by the company that runs it, so changes are possible without a chain of emails.
20% to confirm, balance 30 days before arrival. No deposit at all to receive an itinerary and a price.
Free changes up to 45 days before arrival. Cancellation terms vary by hotel and season and are written on every quote rather than buried in the terms.
Tours & itineraries
Always. Every itinerary on this site is a starting point. Swap hotels, add a day, change the coast, remove a temple — we re-cost it as many times as you need before you commit.
Most are private: your own guide, driver and vehicle. We run a small number of set-departure group trips capped at 12 travellers, mostly in the north and on the Andaman coast.
We book domestic flights inside Thailand as part of the itinerary. International flights we leave to you so you keep control of the ticket, but we will tell you which routes work.
We move it. Our guides have discretion to swap days when conditions are unsafe or unpleasant, and we will rebook boats or dive trips where possible.
On the ground
For temples, historic sites and food, a good guide changes the experience completely. For beach days, no — and we will not sell you one.
English, German, French, Spanish and Mandarin. Tell us the language at enquiry and we will assign accordingly.
Yes — around a third of our travellers are families. We shorten driving days, choose hotels with pools and connecting rooms, and provide car seats on request.
There is a 24/7 number answered in Bangkok. Your specialist's mobile is also on your itinerary.
Practical
Citizens of most European countries, the UK, the US, Canada, Australia and New Zealand can enter visa-free for up to 60 days. Other nationalities can apply for a 60-day tourist e-visa. Check the Thai e-Visa site for your passport.
Three to six months ahead for the best hotels, and by September for travel over Christmas and New Year. Green season trips can be arranged with six weeks' notice.
We strongly recommend it and require proof for trekking and diving. It should cover medical evacuation — the standard $50,000 policy is not enough for a serious incident in a remote area.
Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, halal and most allergies are workable. Tell us at enquiry so the restaurants and cooking classes are chosen around it rather than improvised.
