7–9 day Thailand tours
A week is enough for two regions if you fly once. These itineraries do not waste a morning.
A week in Thailand fits two regions, not three. The itineraries here use one internal flight and at most three hotels, which means the sightseeing days are full and the travel days are short.
Seven days is the right length for Bangkok plus a beach, or Bangkok plus the north. Eight to nine lets you add Ayutthaya, Khao Sok or a second island without turning the trip into a relay. What none of them do is include the north, the Andaman and the Gulf in the same week.
The single biggest improvement to a seven-day trip is refusing the 6am flight. A midday internal flight costs you half a day; a dawn one costs you the day before it as well.

Common questions
No, if you stay in two places. It is too short if you try to include the north and a beach.
Bangkok for two nights and one coast for five. It gives you the culture and the beach without an airport every other day.
You can, but we would advise against it. Three bases in seven days means three half-days lost to transfers.
