“We asked for two nights with nothing planned. They understood immediately, which most agencies do not.”

Khao Lak & the Similans
A low-rise beach base, two days in the Similans and enough time left to do nothing at all.
Khao Lak & the Similans is a 6-day private trip from $1,180 per person, with two days in the Similan Islands marine park and four nights on Khao Lak's beaches. It is for divers and families who want Phuket's water without Phuket.
A low-rise beach base, two days in the Similans and enough time left to do nothing at all.
Best for: Divers and families avoiding Phuket's crowds. The route runs Khao Lak. Everything below is a starting point: hotels can be upgraded or simplified, days can be added, and any element can be removed.
The Similans are the best diving and snorkelling in Thailand and they are only accessible from Khao Lak or a liveaboard, which is why this coast stayed quiet. The park closes from mid-May to mid-October, so this is a November-to-April trip by definition.
The two boat days cover Koh Similan, Koh Ba Ngu and Koh Bon, with snorkelling for non-divers and two dives for certified ones. The four beach nights are at Bang Niang or Khuk Khak, which have the restaurants and the market without the condo strip.

Three to six months ahead for the best hotels, and by September for travel over Christmas and New Year. Green-season trips can usually be arranged with six weeks’ notice.
Yes. The same boat carries snorkellers, and the reef at Koh Ba Ngu is shallow enough to see well from the surface.
It is closed mid-May to mid-October, and we do not sell this trip in those months. Outside the closure we substitute Surin if weather closes the Similans.

What travellers say about trips like this
“The elephant sanctuary they chose was small, quiet and clearly about the animals. That alone was worth booking direct.”
“We didn't want a tour. We wanted someone who knew the country to make the week work. That is exactly what we got.”
