Nattapong grew up in Chiang Mai and started guiding at 22, first on trekking routes in Mae Taeng and later on the Chiang Mai–Chiang Rai loop. He founded the company in 2009 with two guides and one vehicle, ran the northern programme for five years, and moved the office to Bangkok in 2014 when the Andaman coast was added.
He still writes the northern itineraries himself and personally inspects the hotels on the Mae Hong Son and Chiang Rai routes twice a year. His particular interest is the hill-tribe communities around Soppong and Pang Mapha, where he has worked with the same village guides since 2011.
He holds a TAT tour guide licence for the northern region and is the named holder of the company's tour operator licence.
