“Six nights in Kantiang and we did nothing for four of them, which was the point. The scooter was included and the roads were quiet enough for a nervous rider.”

Koh Lanta Slow Week
Six days on the quietest island in the Andaman: a bungalow on Kantiang Bay, two boat days and a lot of doing nothing.
Koh Lanta Slow Week is a 6-day private trip from $980 per person, based on Kantiang Bay with a scooter, a boat day and an old-town evening. It is for travellers who want quiet and no nightlife.
Six days on the quietest island in the Andaman: a bungalow on Kantiang Bay, two boat days and a lot of doing nothing.
Best for: Travellers who want quiet, not nightlife. The route runs Koh Lanta. Everything below is a starting point: hotels can be upgraded or simplified, days can be added, and any element can be removed.
Koh Lanta is the least developed of the Andaman islands and the only one where you can find an empty beach in high season. The trip bases you at Kantiang in the south, which has the best swimming and about six restaurants, and gives you a scooter so you can reach the rest of the island on your own schedule.
The structure is minimal on purpose: one private longtail to the four islands, one day at the national park and old town, and four days that are yours. Most people end up doing the same thing — breakfast, beach, a late lunch, sunset — and that is the point.

Good to know
From $980 per person, based on private · 2–6 travellers, 6 days and 5 nights. The quote includes the hotels, guiding and transport listed under “What’s included”; international flights and travel insurance are not included.
Yes. Every itinerary on this site is a starting point. Days can be added or removed, hotels upgraded or simplified, and the route reordered around your dates — we re-cost it as many times as you need before you commit.
Not included: international flights, diving courses. Everything else listed under “What’s included” is in the quote, and we do not add local payments on arrival.
Three to six months ahead for the best hotels, and by September for travel over Christmas and New Year. Green-season trips can usually be arranged with six weeks’ notice.
It helps a lot — the island is 30km long and taxis are sparse. If you would rather not, we include a driver for the two organised days.
Mostly not. Many resorts and restaurants close from May to October, which is why we only sell this trip November to April.

Reviews for this trip
“Exactly the quiet week we wanted. Old Town was worth the drive and the crab curry there is the best meal I had in Thailand. Not a place for nightlife, which suited us.”
